In celebration of reaching 500 subscribers on YouTube, I held a giveaway contest on my Instagram that featured some of my favorite hair, skin, and makeup products! In order to be entered, a person had to like the picture that included all of the giveaway items, follow my personal Instagram page, Seaux NEW’s Instagram page, be subscribed to my YouTube channel, and comment why they loved their hair. I received 21 AMAZING responses and I think they deserve some recognition!

“Because of its versatility and strength even after I get frustrated with it lmao”

The versatility🤗 silk press, braids, twists, finger coils, etc it’s #magic👩🏽‍🦱✨

i definitely have a love hate relationship with my hair. but i had to come to realize that my hair is going to be different then everyone else’s within the texture and the way i style it. i love it because it makes me who i am💗

I love the thickness and texture of it. It isn’t too coarse or too soft. It’s just right to me.

i love hair because it is expressive and it is a representation of who we are as a person, which is why we should take good care of it .

i love that whenever i do my hair it’s never exactly the same and it’s versatile!

i love my hair bc when it’s done... chile it’s done done. OK? 😂❤️

I love my hair because I just officially went natural and I’m excited to see how versatile my hair can be!

I love my hair because sis is THAT girl! She’s so versatile and never lets me down. I hardly ever feel like washing or styling but when I do, I feel so much better. I had relaxed hair since I was about 2 years old and this journey with my natural hair has made me so much more confident so I’m really thankful for that.

I love my hair because it’s a reflection of my personal journey. When I had my dreads over a year ago, they became dead weight to me so I cut them off to feel free and weightless. From that, I kept it at a low cut which taught me confidence, how to be my own person, & that my face was attractive & not only my hair. Now that I’m growing my hair out I’m learning how to master my patience & how to take different routes to get my desired results.

after years of hating my hair and constantly relaxing it until i no longer had my natural curl pattern, cutting it and transitioning is what made me truly love my hair. learning what my hair needed and how to style it made me more confident and comfortable not only with my hair, but in my own skin. my hair is so healthy now and my only goal is to increase its length☺️

Congratulations btw! I love my hair’s length, density, and ability to make a statement. I always straightened it way back when because it brought so much attention in elementary/middle school but now I embrace it

I love my hair because it is a integral part of who I am. I also love my hair because everyone isn’t as fortunate to have a head full of healthy hair.

I love my hair because its absolutely gorgeous! Period! She is beautiful, thick, strong, and unique. Unlike any other! Lol I spent so long in the dark when it comes to black women’s hair. I really didn’t know our hair naturally grew curly/kinky/coily. So when I was finally introduced to my hair and had the opportunity to spend some time with it, I instantly fell in love! I was fascinated by it. It’s sheer beauty. The way each coil was unique. The versatility. The fact that it would stretch, and bend, and mold into whatever style I put it in to. The fact that sometimes it fights back! But in the end, when I show her love, she shows me love back ❤️ we’ve truly developed a relationship over the years 😂😂 and I fall more and more in love each day 😂❤️

I love my hair cause she’s been stressing me out since ‘96 😂 but I wouldn’t trade her for the world 😂 Like, what’s more versatile than black women’s hair 👀

this may sound weird but i love my hair because it holds my strength and confidence like Samson. it’s not always easy to manage but I believe I am growing in my self confidence while I’m watching my hair grow. my hair teaches me. it teaches me the importance of being versatile, practicing patience, and taking risks.

I love my hair, because it is a true representation of who I am, and where I come from! It’s a public representation of the beauty that so many have tried to deny! I love that my hair grows out and up toward the sky, with so much volume, and the frizziness! It kind reminds me of who created me!! And course I love the versatility👸🏾💎

I love my hair because, even under the weave and braids I can call it mines. I didn’t wear my hair for 3 years due to not liking the texture or my curl pattern. but when I finally gave it a chance I enjoyed wearing my hair more than the weaves. Finding out what products work and which ones don’t & just learning to tame it lol. But now I have psoriasis so it’s a love and hate relationship. lol

I love my hair because it is versatile and really a mystery to me! Natural Hair growth is a journey in every essence of the word, and being that I am taking the time to find out more about myself is is great to have hair I can explore as well! My hair expresses my style and crowns my head! Its beautiful 😁😍

My hair is definitely a blessing and a curse, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love how thick my hair is, but how adaptable it can become with the right products

I love Laila(my hair) because she loves me!!! She’s so versatile allowing me to be a different person whenever I feel like it. I take care of her and she takes care of me. She has changed me for the better. I’ve become soooo much more confident in myself and PATIENT! I don’t know about y’all but my lil LaiLai is really the bestest #periodt

Congratulations to Ashley and to the rest of the lovely ladies that responded! Your answers were exceptional and should be a constant reminder to take care and love the hair that is on your head. Many of these answers included how versatile kinks, coils, and curls are and just how important our hair journeys are. Hair should not define you, but it can be an extension of you. It should be fun and caring experience to style your hair!
